Public education is a cornerstone of our society. The stronger the schools, the stronger the community.

We must do everything in our power to insure that our schools have what they need to educate our children and to prepare them for the future so that our children can look to their futures with confidence that they have what it takes to be competitive in the fast-paced world that awaits them.

Al Hansen strongly believes that in order to strengthen public education we must invest in our children. We must do this by:
1. Expanding early childhood education
2. Increasing funding for after school programs
3. Increasing teacher pay
4. Increasing the numbers of drop-out specialists and counselors in schools across the state.

We need to help our children to feel that they belong in school, and to foster a love of learning in them. Their teachers need to be adequately rewarded for doing one of the most important jobs that our society depends on for its future.

Al has seen first-hand how important public education is. All three of his children were educated in and graduated from the McMinnville School District.
A Vote for Al Hansen will be a vote for stronger schools and a brighter future our children.
